無事終了いたしましました

 

三日間の特集を無事に終了することができました。【特集の日】に御来店下さいました皆様、Instagramを御覧下さいました皆様、どうもありがとうございました。

この三日間、空の色にちなんだ美しい色彩に囲まれ、皆様と愉しいひとときを過ごさせていただき心より感謝申し上げます。新たな出会いもあり、こつこつと裂に向かうことの励みも頂きました。今後も皆様にお楽しみいただけます企画を行なえますよう、精進してまいります。今後とも、どうぞよろしくお願い申し上げます。

この度下記の日程で店舗にて、【特集の日】－浅葱色とグレイの階調－を行わせていただきます。しとしとそぼ降る雨の季節に、空にちなんだ美しい色彩を特集してご紹介いたします。表具や仕覆にお使いいただける裂地を探しに、古い裂のコレクションに、どうぞぜひお運びいただけましたら幸いです。皆様のお越しを心よりお待ち申し上げます。

空が暗灰色の雲に厚く覆われている天候の時、上空の気流によるのか、暗い雲間からそこだけ小さくぽっかりと、冴えた浅葱色の空がのぞいていることがあります。私はこういう時に目にする空の小さな蒼さと、暗灰色の雲との色の対比が美しく思われて、その暗い空を暫く眺めることがあります。そして浅葱や水浅葱色の古裂を手元で広げていると、その趣深い色に遠い空に在るはるかな景色が思われて、次第に心が静まってゆくのです。そうしてだんだんと様々な表情の浅葱色の古裂が集まってまいりました。
この度 この時季の空に想いを馳せ、浅葱色と灰色の単色の古裂（麻、木綿、絹、紬）の特集を行なわせていただきます。タイトルにつきまして、浅葱は日本色名ですが、灰色については色名を絞らず、あえてグレイの表記にいたしました。灰色という色彩に幅を持たせたく思いました。

 

この特集を行う頃には、梅雨はもう明けているでしょうか。今の時季の空に合わせてこの三日間、店内を浅葱とグレイの階調で満たしたいと思います。この特集は2021年9月に開催いたしました「裂のほとりⅦ前期―単色の美―」に続くものです。江戸期の古裂を中心に並べます。表具や仕覆にお使いいただける浅葱とグレイの裂地も並べます。皆様どうぞお気軽に御来店下さい。

銀座・みゆき通りの泰明小学校前の「オーバカナル・カフェ」と、角の自販機との間の道をお入り下さい。カフェから数えて4軒目の左側、昭和の古い建物「泰明ビル」の３Fです。2階の窓がレトロなアーチ型になっているビルです。

★Notice about our upcoming Special Days:“Asagi”Light Blue and Gray Color Tones.

 

We will be holding “Special Days” in our shop for three days: Friday, July 11th to Sunday, July 13th. We hope you will enjoy our three days of this special occasion.

 

Date: July 11th (Fri) to 13th (Sun), 2025

Time: July 11th (Fri) ＆ 12th (Sat): 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

July 13th (Sun) 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

When the sky is covered with thick dark gray colored clouds, perhaps due to the air currents in the sky, at times you can observe a little clear blue sky in between the dark clouds. I am drawn to the sky like this and often gaze at the sky for a while fascinated by the beautiful contrast of the colors. And when I am handling some Asagi and Mizuasagi colored antique Japanese fabrics, their clear, beautiful colors remind me of the distant clear blue light in the sky and calm me down. As I think of these beautiful colors of this vast sky, my heart started to seek for some pieces of fabric in monochromatic Asagi and Gray colors,  and gradually began to collect them.
This time, we will be featuring Asagi and Gray colored theme of antique Japanese fabric (hemp or ramie, cotton, and silk.), with our thoughts turning to the sky of this time of year. About the title, Asagi is a type of blue color in Japanese, and we have decided to use the English word “Gray” to include various shades of gray color. By the time of this “Special Days” event, the rainy season may be coming to an end. Reflecting the colors of the current rainy season, we wanted to fill our shop with beautiful shades of Asagi and Gray.
This “Special Days” event is also the continuation of the “Kire no Hotori Ⅶ” ：“The Beauty of Monochrome” held in September 2021. The display will focus on fabrics from the Edo period. We will also be displaying some fabric that can be used for Kakejiku hanging scrolls and Shifuku. We hope you enjoy these special three days.

There is a cafe called AUX BACCHANALES in front of Taimei Elementary School. Take the small street between the cafe and the vending machine located at the corner. The shop is on the third floor of the Taimei Building, which is the fourth building from the cafe on your left. It is the building which has a retro arched windows on the second floor.
