We are grateful for this wonderful opportunity to hold an exhibition at Tsukihiso in Nagoya. With the passage of time, textiles have been taken apart from their original pieces and have been through many usages and transformed into what we see in the present. The depth of taste and the beauty of color you see in threads are often present in antique Japanese dyed and woven materials. The uniqueness can be fully expressed from even tiny textile fragments that are small enough to fit in the palm of our hands. It will be great if you can feel the various attractiveness of the antique Japanese dyed and woven materials, mainly from the Edo period. We will also have some fragment pieces that can be used for kobukusa a small cloth for tea ceremony, and for lining fabric of tea container bag or shifuku .
We would be delighted to have your presence at this exhibition.
