ごあいさつ

 
今年も青花の会骨董祭に出展いたします。
蓮では「縫」に関わる分野に焦点を当て、小企画として染織工芸の「刺繍」を取り上げて作品をご紹介いたします。刺繍は織物の経糸緯糸方向に制約されることなく、地裂に自由な意匠を自在に取り込むことができ、織や染めによる表現とは異なる性質の立体感と色彩の美しさで作品を彩ります。今回は心惹かれて少しずつ集めておりました国外の刺繍作品も展示いたします。人の手と一本の針のみで縫い取られる行為、その文様表現を御覧いただけましたら幸いです。

Message

 
We will have an exhibit at Seika no Kai Kottosai Antique Fair again this year. Ren will focus on “sewing”and more specifically introduce the items featured by their embroidery. Since the work of embroidery is not restricted by the direction of the warp and weft of the fabric, it is possible to freely incorporate any design into a fabric, thus adding another beauty of color and three-dimensional effects that are different from the weaving and dyeing expression shown by the base fabric. This time, the exhibit will also include several embroidered items from overseas that we have affectionately collected over the years.
We hope you will be able to observe the artful expression of beautiful embroidered work that can only be accomplished by using solely human’s hand and one needle.
